"A School Without Walls"
We are currently pre-registering for the 16th session of my 4-year Mystery School, The Lynn Andrews Center for Sacred Arts and Training, which begins in February 2009. Every soul on earth has a mission. You can achieve this awareness in the Mystery School. I am so honored and full of enthusiasm to present you with a truly unique and magical course of study. This extensive program is designed to enable you, as an apprentice, to venture further than you have ever gone before into your own personal environment of skill and possibility. For over twenty-five years, I have shared the teachings of the Sisterhood of the Shieldsthrough
my books, lectures and trainings. But it is within this Mystery School, a school without walls, and our annual
gatherings that you are able to deepen and fully experience the wonder and magic contained within these teachings.
Our four-year training is carefully and skillfully designed to support you in awakening and discovering the beauty and power within you. Each aspect is intended to move you through your own personal gateways. The School is a combination of new written material, special audio tapes I've prepared, sacred tasks, conversations with me during conference calls, working with a graduate apprentice mentor selected for you, and two five-day gatherings each year. Through this material, available only to school apprentices, your sense of self and your ability to experience the world around you will expand, and your life will become more beautiful and fulfilling.
Throughout history, many sacred teachings have been vigilantly guarded and only passed down from shaman to apprentice through one-on-one teaching, storytelling, and sacred initiations. This is the way of the Sisterhood of the Shields. In my own journey, my teachers, Agnes Whistling Elk and Ruby Plenty Chiefs, would work with me for a short time, sharing stories, having me complete a certain task or sending me off to dream and then throw me back on my own devices and my day-to-day life. It was during these times that my deepest work was accomplished. I was able to strengthen my own dream body and understand how to hold my own energy separate from my teacher's. Our Mystery School is a "school without walls" and intended to bring you these teachings with the same depth and the intensity of the ancient mystery schools; that is what we strive for.
This work of shamanic endeavor is about traversing the timeless pathways of the universe and bringing them home to bridge the environment of magic with your 21st century life. You will have the opportunity to develop such abilities as Dreaming, Seeing, and Conjuring and understand how to use the sacred wheel to bring balance into all facets of your life. You will build your own dreaming body and be able to establish and maintain the integrity of your own energy field. It is my sincerest wish that with the guiding energy and wisdom of the Sisterhood of the Shields, as an apprentice, you will be able to accomplish this same definition of spirit and body.
A unique aspect of the Mystery School is our two annual gatherings. The first is our gathering at the sacred fires of Joshua Tree in the spring. An extraordinary celebration and time of deep and profound inner work! Since 1989, we have returned to this sacred land to dance, do personal ceremony, and share our truths with each other. Our second gathering is Storm Eagle Training in the fall, which is the culmination of each year's work. We sit together in circle, create sacred theater and deepen not only our skills but also our energy lines as a spiritual community.
We have entered the new millennium, and Great Spirit is not asking us, but demanding that we move to a higher level of life and consciousness. This is a time of great testing and a time of moving our light and our magnificent luminous fibers out into the world. But you need not walk your path alone. Through your work in our Mystery School, you will be surrounded by a circle of powerful and loving beings.
Always remember that you get out of life what you put into it. The education is here and available to you, but it requires your commitment to your own evolvement. And if you are familiar with my books, you understand, on a very deep level, that apprenticeship in shamanism requires dedication and a lot of hard work. As Agnes Whistling Elk has often told me, our purpose in this lifetime is to become enlightened, and yet it is the one thing we are most afraid of. Never allow your fears to stop you from your own growth and change and wholeness of spirit. Rather, go into the center of your fears and be healed. When embarking on a new process such as this, there is always trepidation about your abilities to sustain the effort. But as you grow and become involved with the teachings, the difficulty of the task becomes secondary to the excitement over what you are learning.
Please join me as we begin the next session of my Mystery School. We offer these teachings to you as a gift and as a road map for you to enjoy as you travel down this ancient path of wisdom and beauty. We will present the experiences necessary to put your mind, emotions and spirit in working order so that all that is coming your way can be assimilated and translated into a process of self-transformation. This is the time to take dominion not only over your life, but your emotions and your sacred will as well. For this is a time of reckoning.
In the process of becoming centered and strong, it is so very important that you take time for yourself. From the deepest place in my spirit, I want to share these concepts, teachings and work with you. I invite you to join me on this sacred journey.

The Lynn Andrews Center for Sacred Arts and Training (LACSAT) will provide you with tools of empowerment to use in your everyday life. While you will be working at your own pace, from your own home, you will need to complete certain elements of this course in time for two gatherings a year, the Joshua Tree Event (May/June) and the Storm Eagle Training (early November).
Apprentices come into this circle of teaching for a myriad of reasons and all are welcome. As Agnes reminds us the greatest gift we can give the world is our own enlightenment. This journey will enrich your soul, brining you a greater sense of your purpose in this life, and provide you with the opportunity to be part of a powerful, loving and supportive community of sacred beings. And for some this training becomes the foundation of building a spiritual practice as a shaman healer. Through our work together you have the opportunity to become a certified Spiritual Healer and an Ordained Minister with tools and skills you can us in the world.
Defining shamanic power is not necessarily a process of adding on more information, but a re-defining and a re-inventing of what appears simple and already knowable. Within certain aspects of these realms the greatest powers are held. This School will help you define that power.
This work is mystical and is not just a process of adding on more information but rather a re-creating of your point of view and re-defining of what appears real and knowable in this universe. The teaching of sacred arts is non-linear; it is, in fact, holographic. Each piece of the work reflects the totality of the teaching. Throughout the four years, you may revisit particular aspects of your life or your energy and experience it from a new perspective.

Year 1: Lodge of the Winds
The First Year of the Mystery School is symbolized by the act of holding your hands in the flow of the waterfall, allowing the rushing water to flow between your open fingers. As you feel the current of the water rushing through your fingertips, you learn to feel the power of energy. Keeping your hands in the flow of water, you learn to identify energy, to define it and to understand what energy truly is. In identifying energy within yourself, you come to understand how it can become blocked within you and how it can be released. The flow of the waterfall will teach you how to perceive energy, and you will begin to determine the apparent and subtle differences in energy within yourself and others.
Year 2: Lodge of the Earth:
The Second Year of the Mystery School is about holding your hands under the magnificent waterfall and cupping your fingers tightly together so you can catch the water and the energy, holding its power within the bowl of your hands. By containing the flowing life force, you perceive how different it is to hold the flow of energy and mold it to your own form versus feeling the power rushing through your grasp with no beginning or end. In the second year, you will learn how to construct and use sacred tools, such as a rattle, shield, or drum -- all the different tools used in the process of holding power, obtaining harmony, releasing stress and approaching the process of a circle of truth within yourself.
Year 3: Lodge of the Marriage Basket
The Third Year of the Mystery School is the time of the Marriage of self to self, and to a very important ally, your inner Spirit Mate. It is a marriage and a blending of your energy with the power of the waterfall. In this year of the school, you become the waterfall, flowing to its source, merging with the powers that be, with all the powers in the universe, for all time. You are the waterfall flowing deeper and deeper into your emotional and spiritual life, until you come to know yourself completely, from the inside out. Emotions running wild are our biggest leak of energy, so in merging with your emotional nature, you will learn how to use your emotions effectively and have dominion over them. By not allowing your emotions to have control over you, you will create a solid inner marriage of mind and heart and will direct your life toward a powerful, fruitful, and harmonious spiritual path.
Year 4: The Lodge of Spirit
The Fourth Year of the Mystery School is about experiencing initiation. You will take your power, identify your strengths and conquer your weaknesses, as you become the mist and the ether of the waterfall. Like a cloud of evaporation, moving toward the heavens, you transform into a balanced person, standing squarely between a life of spirit and the physical world. Having taken your power, you move out into the world using your skills and knowledge while maintaining a new perspective and point of view of "who you are". In this last year of the school, you discover the reason you were born and the meaning of your life. Like the mist, moving from Mother Earth to the Sky Fathers, you begin to condense and make rain. Falling back down gently to the Earth in tiny silver droplets of water, you reflect the light of the Great Spirit, replenishing the life force, and closing the circle of this cycle of learning.

- Working with the Sacred Wheel to bring balance to your life
- Approaching the world in a chosen state of feminine awareness
- Becoming your opposite energy
- Working with your Luminous Fibers to release stress and renew your physical body
- Learning to discern and move energy in the world
- Written reports on Heyoka teachings, including books and films
- Creating a working altar
- Analyzing directional energies
- Understanding and healing the emotional body
- Awakening your Spirit Mate
- Making power fetishes
- Creating meditations and ceremonies
- Discovering your abilities as a storyteller
- Building of shields, masks, and other ceremonial items
- Scripting and performing a shamanic play at one of our yearly gatherings, Daily journaling and meditation
About our Joshua Tree Gatherings
Our annual Joshua Tree Gathering, held in late spring, now takes place at Ghost
Ranch in Abiqui, New Mexico. This is an important milestone each school year. It
is the first opportunity for each year in the school, to come together as a
group and celebrate what we have accomplished through our studies and ceremonial
work. The teachings, experiences and work presented at Joshua Tree are an
integral part of your year and are a requirement of the school that will support
your growth. Part of your LACSAT tuition includes an extra 'School Day' at the
Joshua Tree Gathering specifically for students, Mentors, and Lynn to gather
together. The main four day Joshua Tree Gathering is open to all who wish to
come, whether enrolled in the school or not, and can be a wonderful introduction
to the teachings of the school.
About the Storm Eagle Training
The Storm Eagle Training is a no-holds-barred, roll-up-your-sleeves, get-down-to-work session of instruction and practice, and is a requirement of the School. Each year, as the School expands, so does the training. Currently, the training is held in Los Angeles and runs from Wednesday through Sunday in early November. Storm Eagle Training is a quickening of the work you have accomplished throughout the year. You will have an opportunity to sit in an intimate teaching circle with Lynn. You will work with advanced, Graduate Apprentices and be able to share your work with your peers. It is truly a coming together of our sacred community. This process will pull in power to support you in your own personal healing and facilitate your growth as a shaman healer in the world. You will find yourself venturing further than you ever thought possible. The Storm Eagle Training can be attended only by those, who are enrolled in the School.

- As a Student Apprentice you will work directly with a Mentor who will be supervised and guided by Lynn. You will need to be in regular contact with your mentor, via e-mail, telephone, letters, or face-to-face meetings, depending on what works best for you and your mentor. Your mentor will answer your questions and provide you with guidance and direction.
- There will be audio tapes of special teachings and messages from Lynn created exclusively for Student Apprentices. There will be monthly full moon and new moon meditations. There will also be regularly scheduled conference calls with Lynn, mentors, and other students in your school year.
- Lynn's books and tapes are part of this course of study and are available at a 20% discount when purchased from Lynn Andrews Productions. When placing an order, be sure to tell us you are enrolled in the School so that we may apply the discount. There are other books and materials required for the school, as well.
- The School is a 4-year course of study. There are two levels of completion: one is a Professional Certification and the second level is for personal healing and transformation. Completion of all tasks and assignments is required to receive a Certificate of Completion and be professionally certified as a graduate of The Lynn Andrews Center for Sacred Arts & Training. This is required for you to be fully licensed and ordained by Lynn Andrews. For your attendance and general participation in the School, you will receive a Certificate of Acknowledgment, which will entitle you to become an Earth Steward, and you will be acknowledged as such by Lynn Andrews.
You will discuss with your mentor which level of completion is appropriate for you during the course of your first year. Successful completion of either level of participation allows you to fully participate in the ongoing graduate circle through our Kindred Spirits Continuing Education Program.
- Total tuition for the School is $4,120** per year and is distributed as follows. Please refer to the enrollment packet for registration and application forms and for payment information and options.
A) The Annual Program fee- $2,510** per year (includes a non-refundable deposit of $125)
B) Joshua Tree Gathering tuition including School Day - $950** per year
C) The Storm Eagle Training tuition- $660** per year
** Please note: prices are subject to change.
Your School Tuition covers written instructions and guidelines from Lynn; conference calls with Lynn, mentors and classmates from your school year; special audio tapes exclusively for the School; a notebook to hold your study materials; individual work with your mentor; occasional School related mailings from Lynn and the Sisterhood of the Shields; tuition for the two yearly gatherings of Joshua Tree and Storm Eagle. Lodging and meals for the School Day at Joshua Tree and the event of Joshua Tree are included. Not included in the tuition fees to either annual gathering are transportation; or lodging and meals for the Storm Eagle Training.
- The curriculum is based on four 11 week quarters. Requests for a refund must be sent in writing and all materials received must be returned unopened. If your request is approved, it will be refunded per the time of year, and the quarter materials, you have already received and/or returned.
- Sessions begin in February of each new year.
