Lynn Andrews' 10th Annual Hawaii Retreat

December 3 - 6, 2008

"Speaking with the Ancestors"

Rest -  Renewal - Rejuvenation

Message from Lynn About the Retreat

Our first retreat in Hawaii was intended to be a process of rejuvenation and relaxation. We conjured ideas of laying in the sun, rejuvenating the soul, experiencing spiritual rebirth, working quietly and at peace. But our retreat became one of the most magical, inspiring and mysterious events that I think any of us have shared.

From the lost Spirits of Mu, who shared their knowledge and ancient wisdom with the Sisterhood of the Shields, we were surrounded with mirrors of our own truth, standing like shining shields in the sunlight. Swimming with the great turtles took us back to the beginnings of our legends -- legends of Mother Earth, our great Turtle Island, the Mother that we connected with more deeply than ever. What I am trying to say is that truth and higher consciousness often comes when you're least expecting it. To paraphrase Mae West, Too much of a good thing, what could be better?

The maze of the ancient fish ponds of King Kamehameha, shrouded in trees and dancing shadows, taught us the magic of the water babies. We released our limitations, our pain, and our unfulfilled dreams, losing ourselves in humor and a true renewal of our spirits, and finding a well spring of joy deep within that was undeniably waiting for us.

Each person had a little shadow of joy that jumped up, wanting to be heard, wanting to join in the celebration that was happening all around. We discovered that nothing is more beautiful than the truth of the human soul.

Have you ever wondered why the astronauts get shot out into space in a tin can and come back with thoughts of enlightenment? The reason for this is that they have taken themselves out of their day-to-day experience long enough for something new to come in. Hawaii is just such an opportunity. The Spirits of Place await us once again. I invite you to join me this year as we revisit this extraordinary, mystical, sparkling island of power and awesome beauty.

In the spirit of Aloha,

Lynn Andrews

About the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel

We are very excited to announce Lynn’s annual retreat in Hawaii, "Speaking With the Ancestors," for renewal, rejuvenation and dreaming. The retreat this year will again be at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel, on the Big Island!

Nestled between two white sand beaches on the sunny Kohala Coast, Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows is unrivaled. An eleven-time winner of the prestigious AAA Five Diamond Award, Mauna Lani Bay is an exquisite blend of sophisticated luxury and Hawaiian style hospitality. Within the boundaries of our 3,200 acre Resort, guests may enjoy the ambiance of ancient Hawaii in the mystical fishponds and petroglyphs, the beautiful sunsets, lush gardens and a stretch of shoreline which is home to a myriad of marine life.

Guest accommodations reflect the utmost taste and timeless elegance. Every room is a refreshing tropical oasis and features a private lanai; over ninety percent overlook the blue Pacific or the ancient fishponds.

Sounds like heaven on earth, doesn’t it? The space is VERY limited for the retreat! It is going to be a small group of around 75 people. You can register by mail/fax using the registration form below or you may call 1-800-554-7414 (USA) or +1 954-725-1706 (International) to register by phone.

Many have expressed interest in bringing a spouse to the event. In addition to being one of the world’s most exquisite locations, there are many, many activities at the hotel itself which your spouse can enjoy.

Activities Abound

Perfect Kohala weather provides an excellent opportunity to enjoy outdoor fun. Golf, tennis, biking, jogging, spa facilities, and water sports are just a few of the activities available at the resort. Upon check-in guests also receive a schedule of complimentary activities they are invited to join in. The varied schedule includes lei-making, watercolor painting, tropical flower arranging, hula lessons, lomi-lomi massage demonstrations, Hawaiian games, fish feeding tours and historic tours.

The historian on site shares Hawaiian history and legends with guests at the Eva Parker Woods Cottage which is home to interesting artifacts of Hawaii.

The Guest Services staff at Mauna Lani are available to coordinate other Island activities including big game fishing, horseback riding, helicopter sightseeing, and tours of the Big Island. At Mauna Lani Bay you can spend lazy days swaying in a hammock; or explore all the excitement and adventure the Mauna Lani Resort, and the Big Island of Hawaii has to offer.

Details about the Workshop

WHEN:  December 3 - 6, 2008,  Wednesday through Saturday

Plan on arriving Tuesday as we will begin our work on Wednesday morning. Also plan on staying at the hotel on the evening of December 6 and leaving December 7, since we will be working into the evening hours, and you will more than likely get a better airfare rate with a Saturday stay-over.

WHERE: The Mauna Lani Bay Hotel is on the big island of Hawaii. If you have access to the internet, you may want to look at the hotel’s web site, and prepare to be impressed. www.maunalani.com

LODGING: We have made VERY special arrangements with the hotel. Lodging cost is $235.00 per day. Tax and gratuities are extra. You will need to make your room reservations directly with the hotel. Call the hotel at 1-800-367-2323 or 1-808-885-6622 and let them know you are with the Lynn Andrews' group.

For anyone who does not have a roommate, and wishes to share a room, we will help facilitate this for you. Simply call Lynn Andrews' registration line at 1-800-554-7414, and put your name on a "Roommate Wanted" list. If we know of someone looking to share a room, we’ll give you their name and phone number. It is then up to you to call and make arrangements with your potential roommate. We will also add your name to the list and give your name and phone number to others calling for a roommate. We are happy to provide you with this information.

Please remember, however, that any choice of roommate(s) is your responsibility. Please also remember to call when you have found a roommate and wish to be removed from the list.

By the way, the hotel is offering these same discount rates up to October 20, 2008. Afterwards, it will be on a first come basis. Also, if you are interested in staying a little longer, please be sure to confirm your discount rate with the hotel at the time you register.

PROGRAM:  Lynn feels that an essential part of renewing our spirit and rejuvenating our soul, is to spend as much time on this sacred and powerful land as possible. Therefore, a large portion of the daytime hours will be spent working out on the land. You will be given a beautifully crafted journal for this part of the work. The journal will consist of meditations, exercises, explorations, and personal ceremonies designed specifically to move you into a receptive point-of-view. These personal processes are an important aspect of the retreat and will prepare you for the in-depth work we will then do together in the evening hours. Registration cost is $500.00

Nursing and Therapist CEU's are available for this special retreat.

(See below)

TRAVEL:  The closest airport is the Kona International Airport on the big island of Hawaii.  If you would like to ride a shuttle from the airport, you will need to let the hotel know a week in advance and they will take care of that for you. There is a cost for this service. The price varies depending on the number of people riding the shuttle with you and the time of day. Ask the hotel for more details. They will be happy to help you arrange your shuttle ride.
