Daydreaming Bear, The Way of the Dream Talker

COURSE 4, November 13 – December 10, 2008:
"Dingo Man Dreaming: The Initiation of Oruncha"
Preparing to enter the Third Hoop of power by understanding
and making peace with that which you fear the most.
REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
In the Seven Clay Pots, which contain the ancient scrolls that embrace the teachings of the Sisterhood of the Shields, it is written that the times in which we are now living are called the "Changing Times," the awakening of the great dreamer god. Certainly we see the wisdom of these ancient words reflected in all of the dramatic need for change on so many levels that we face in our
world today.
What does it mean, the "changing times?" To the Sisterhood of the Shields, it means we are at a crossroads, a place of great power in our lives where decisions must be made and acted upon. It is a crossroads which holds all possibility because it marks the end of the old consciousness, a consciousness of victimhood and dependency that says, "Take care of me, regardless of the cost to the world around me," and the beginning of a new consciousness that says, "I am responsible." We are going to go into the teachings of the "Changing Times" in much detail in our 2009 series of Online Courses.
This course, "Dingo Man Dreaming: The Initiation of Oruncha – Preparing to Enter the Third Hoop of Power," really begins our journey into the teachings of the "Changing Times" in a substantive way. The Third Hoop of power is where you take responsibility for yourself. No longer will you allow your dreams to be dreamed for you, no longer will you give away the power and beauty of your own personal dreams for your life and your world.
The Third Hoop of Power is the point in your pathway towards enlightenment when you define your goals and your direction from a position of strength which comes from your own center of truth, the place within where you are one with Great Spirit and all of life. Then you move forward in harmony with the great flow of power and energy in the universe. This is when the magical synchronicities in life truly begin to happen.
It is a fundamental spiritual precept that what we refuse to look at in life is usually what controls us. The Sisterhood of the Shields teach us to look at our lives as a teaching. When you look at your life as a teaching, you discover the difficulties in your life – the persons or situations that upset you most – are your best teachers. If those persons or situations can get inside your head, turn you around and confuse you, then you know that you still don't understand what you are doing. When you look at those situations as problems instead of teachings, the odds are very good that you are going to keep making the same mistakes over and over again throughout the course of your life. Remember this, life is not a problem to be solved, it is a miracle to be lived. A shaman is one who remembers the trail and takes a different path. Dingo Man Dreaming can show you how to do that.
In this course, you are going to learn how to use the power of your dreams to help you look at your life as a teaching rather than as a seemingly endless procession of insurmountable hurdles and problems. Then you will know that you are truly ready to move into the Third Hoop of Power and take responsibility for your own dreams and your own life. Always remember this: if you can dream it, you can do it. Never doubt it. The only thing you have to do, the most difficult thing of all for human
beings
to do, perhaps, is learn how to get out of your own way!
For this course, you will need two small dreaming crystals: a female crystal for the south of the sacred wheel and a male crystal for the north. It's not that the north of the wheel is necessarily male, it is that as in all things in life there must be balance. The south of the wheel is earth, although Mother Earth lives all the way around
the sacred
wheel, in the soils and the waters, in the air, in the great stones and boulders, and in all of the plants and animals which life upon her. So when you work with a female crystal in the south, you want to balance that energy with a male crystal in the north.
These are not the same male and female crystals for the east and the west of the wheel that you used during the last course. Once you have completed the Registration process, if you have not taken the previous courses in this series, you will be sent instructions on how to determine whether a crystal is "male," "female" or neutral, and how to begin tuning your crystals to your own unique vibration for the work we will be doing.
Crystals are like a memory, they help you to remember who you are. If you look at life as a problem to be solved rather than a miracle to be lived, you have probably forgotten who you are in your original nature. You may even have forgotten what you came into this world to do, forgotten the sacred dream for your life. In this course, you are going to be working with your shaman dreaming crystals and with Dingo Man Dreaming to help you remember and heal the jagged edges of your existence. As part of the sacred work of this course, you are going to be making your own dilly bag to hold your dreaming crystals.
You are also going to learn how to move into the transit between physical manifestation in the south of the sacred wheel and spirit and inspiration in the north. My teacher Zoila, a chamin curendera from the Mayan Yucatán and member of the Sisterhood of the Shields, puts it this way:
Most people's relationships in life don't have any north, they are void of inspiration and spirit. Their interactions with the world are all east (mind) and west (emotion) regarding what is going on in the south (the physical world). The unfortunate thing is that when you live life this way, the cruel edge of reality ends up cutting you to ribbons. The reason is this: When you live only in the east-west of your life, which consists of who brings home the bacon, who takes out the garbage, who pays the bills or changes the diapers or picks up the yard, and so on, your life revolves around 'what you think about what I do and say and how I feel about what you think and do.' This becomes the focal point of existence, taking up all of your attention and draining you of all your strength and resources. The great dream of your life gets lost in the humdrum and ho-hum of what you perceive are your 'problems.' The north is left out completely. And that's what I think psychology doctors lose sight of. They immerse a person in an endless east-west discussion.
The movement between east and west, between mind and emotion, in any relationship or situation in your life promotes understanding and knowledge.
But enlightenment and intuition and spirit come from a south-north movement, one that is motivated by your instincts. If you live without the north-south, you feel as if you are losing your soul. You feel like you are dying. There is transformation in movement between north and south, but never between east and west.
This course will focus on moving you into that north-south transit in life, going to north to find the inspiration and wisdom for what it is you are trying to accomplish in the world and taking that inspiration and wisdom directly to the south, to manifestation. This is the blueprint for success in all your endeavors.
