Rites of Passage

Uncovering the Abundance that Comes Through Understanding
and Moving Into Harmony with the Rhythms of Your Life

Course 1 – Stepping Into the Unknown
Shattering the barriers of conditioning that keep you
from looking at the world through your own shaman eyes

February 25 – March 24, 2010

Course Description:

Integrative practitioners recognize the mind-body-spirit connection in achieving wellness. In this series of on-line courses we will explore the ancient shamanic art of celebrating rites of passage. This practice allows individuals to move through any major life change in a positive way. In our time, we go through these changes without much guidance and support and often find ourselves stressed and uncertain. We will learn how to examine and approach various life passages so as to revitalize our spirits and come into balance and understanding of self. Our goal is to find those places within that may feel stressed or traumatized by these life passages and to heal the pain or anguish that may still be held there.

In this first course we will examine the conditioning obtained through family and society and determine our own personal truth and inner essence. This will allow us to build a foundation for our rites of passage that is rooted in self-love. Developing self-love is difficult, especially if there is any kind of abuse in our background. We will examine self-imposed boundaries that have grown out of our conditioning, understanding which ones are helpful and which one are blocking our growth. We will learn that difficulties are a natural part of life and how to move through them with serenity. These techniques can be used with and taught to our clients.

Course Objectives:

At the end of this online course in alternative practices, participants will be able to:

    1. Discuss meditation, representational art, ceremony, group discussion, and use of spiritual allies as tools for relieving these life stresses.

    2. Discuss at least one method of working with a client’s energy system.

    3. Discuss ways of incorporating these procedures into their professional practice.

Soul Retrieval:  Discovering Inner Wealth

December 2 - 5, 2009 – Hawaii, HI

Course Description:

Integrative practitioners recognize the mind-body-spirit connection. At this year’s retreat we will explore the ancient shamanic art of soul or spirit retrieval. When psychological disturbances occur, shamans believe that one’s energy field is disrupted and parts of our soul separate and must be retrieved in order to return to wholeness. Soul retrieval is one technique for healing self-worth, which opens the flow of well-being and re-establishes our connection to spiritual and physical abundance.  Through soul retrieval we reclaim and heal those parts of ourselves that are lost and damaged during sudden trauma, prolonged stress or unrelenting demands.

Course Objectives:

At the end of this online course in alternative practices, participants will be able to:

    1. Discuss meditation, representational art, ceremony, group discussion, and use of spiritual allies as tools for relieving these emotional traumas.
